Our vision was premised on our shared interest and desire to promote the continued development of the Nigerian Petroleum Industry for the benefit of industry stakeholders and the nation.
Established in 2015, our primary goal is to maximize the contribution of the domestic oil and gas industry to the socio-economic development of Nigeria.

What is IPPG?
IPPG stands for the Independent Petroleum Producers Group.
What Does IPPG do?
IPPG is committed to the renaissance of the Nigerian petroleum sector and seeks to maximise its contribution to the socio-economic development of Nigeria. IPPG is a credible association of Nigerian indigenous upstream Exploration & Production companies with a mandate to constructively engage Government and industry stakeholders on issues affecting the group and the larger industry.
Can any upstream oil company be a member of IPPG?
Membership of IPPG is open to all credible indigenous Exploration and Production companies that meets the following criteria:
- The company must be a registered E&P company in Nigeria.
- The company should be the registered holder of a working interest within an E&P license and actively exploring or producing.
- The company must have equity production
Is IPPG a registered company?
IPPG is registered by the Corporate Affairs Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as an incorporated trustees.
Who are the members of the IPPG Board of Trustees?
There are currently four trustees for IPPG. They are : Mr Abdulrazaq Isa (Chairman), Engr, Charles Odita (Secretary), Mr Ademola Adeyemi-Bero, and Dr Layi Fatona.
Who runs IPPG?
The IPPG Governance Council is the highest decision making body of IPPG – it consist of the Chief Executive Officers of member companies.
Who is responsible for running the day-to-day operations of IPPG?
The IPPG Secretariat is responsible for executing the strategic direction and policies of the Governance Council. The Secretariat activities are overseen by an Executive Coordinator.
